I always knew my roots ran deep through Ireland, but I never expected them to lead me to the Choctaw Nation. After feeling an unexplained connection to Native American stories, I discovered an extraordinary act of generosity during the Great Irish Famine — and a friendship between two peoples that has lasted for generations.
