Most quotes about change are wallpaper. Says nothing you didn't already know. You read it, you nod, you've forgotten it by lunch.
A few of them stop you, though. The ones that name the thing you've been circling for weeks and couldn't put into words yourself. Those are worth keeping.
So I went looking for the real ones. Not the misattributed soup that gets passed round Pinterest (no, Darwin never wrote the "most responsive to change" line, and Gandhi almost certainly never said "be the change" in those exact words). Just ten that have held up, from people who genuinely said them.
Here they are.
Ten quotes about change worth more than a pretty graphic

1. "Things do not change; we change." — Henry David Thoreau
2. "When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves." — Viktor Frankl
3. "Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything." — George Bernard Shaw
4. "Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future." — John F. Kennedy
5. The real Maya Angelou one - "What you're supposed to do when you don't like a thing is change it. If you can't change it, change the way you think about it. Don't complain."

6. "To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often." — Winston Churchill
7. "Change your thoughts and you change your world." — Norman Vincent Peale
8. "Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change." — Jim Rohn
9. "Without change, something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens." — Frank Herbert
10. "Only the wisest and stupidest of men never change." — Confucius

So which one's for you
Don't save all ten. Saving things feels like doing something and isn't.
One of them meant more than the rest while you were reading. Go with that one. Stick it somewhere you'll notice everyday , and the next time you're dodging a decision you already know the answer to, see if it nudges you in the right direction.
